When I first started traveling for my service work, I was in the 2012 Jeep Rubicon averaging 14 MPG, if lucky. I knew as many miles as I was driving, I needed something different. So I picked up this 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI to be my travel car. It had around 38 miles when I picked it up and as of June 2017 it has around 120K. The good news, is that I have had no real issues with it and average over 40 MPG!!! (Plus its a 6 speed manual, so fun to drive!). So when out running service calls all over the central south, this is my ride….
